Lambert House Outdoor Rec is a Mt. Ellinor Hike and glissade on Sunday, May 19. Arrive at Lambert House by 9 am, returning by 5 pm. This 6-mile hiking trip starts in old growth, climbs with gentle switchbacks, and continues up to the summit in snow. From the summit you can enjoy 360o views before sliding in the snow back down the slope. Bring sturdy shoes, a daypack, 1 qt. water, a hearty lunch, warm layers, change of clothes, and snack food. Know Your Rights by Lavender Rights Project is a workshop and Q&A on May 20 covering LGBTQ youth rights relating to discrimination, sexual and mental health, school, gender marker & name changes, and more. Join us from 4:30-6pm in the library!

Step into a world of fantasy and adventure at our annual Pink Prom for LGBTQ+ youth, ages 13-22. This year’s theme: Sky Full of Stars. Saturday, May 18th, 8pm to midnight. $20 suggested donation. Queer Youth in America call for artists is now live (click here for full details)! Lambert House is partnering with Sassafras to host LGBTQ youth art this summer. Submissions (application and photos of finished art) are due June 1st; artists notified by June 10th; art must be dropped off at Lambert House by July 3rd; opening reception is July 12th as part of the Belltown Art Walk. Come to Art Group at Lambert House on Wednesdays from 4:30-7pm for feedback and help with your art; to learn how to prepare, frame, and photograph your art; write an Artist Bio and Artist Statement, and more!
