October 2019 Special Event Descriptions

Lambert House Outdoor Rec is a Esmerelda Basin hike to see the famous larches on Saturday, October 12th. Arrive at Lambert House by 9am, & we’ll return by 6pm. Esmerelda Basin offers old forest, meadows brimming with wildflowers, and rocky hillsides, all while enjoying the striking scenery of the jagged and craggy Esmeralda Peaks. The trail boasts over 75 varieties of wildflowers, evidence of an old mining operation, and vantage points into the Cascades. Bring sturdy shoes, a daypack, 1 qt. water, a hearty lunch, warm jacket, warm hat, gloves, and snack food. See or phone the front desk for details (206-322-2515 ext *819, from 4:00 – 9:30 pm M-F). Liability release form is required.

Art Group meets at a new time: Every Wednesday, now at 7-8:30pm. Express yourself and learn new techniques with guidance from a professional artist and art teacher.

Nightmare on Broadway is an LGBTQ youth planned Halloween dance! Saturday, October 26, 7-11 pm. Join other LGBTQ’s – Lycanthropes, Ghouls, Banshees, Trolls, and sasQuatches – for a fun-filled Nightmare on Broadway! A dance for LGBTQ and ally youth ages 13-22, no alcohol, no drugs, no hate. Suggested donation $10-20. DJ, activities, and food! At All Pilgrims Church, 500 Broadway E, in Seattle at Broadway & Republican. Costumes encouraged by not required. Download the flyer here.
